Hi evryone, i have 2 questions, sorry if they were
already asked, but
i'm new here!

Question one:

How can i have Steinberg's (and other) VST plugins to
work with Logic
Platinum 4,6? It seems that some works, some don't...
It's all VST's
after all so how come they don't work all??? I've
tried to move DLL's
files in all revelant folders and subfolders but
nothing works.

Question two: How come does Emagic's EVP 73 works with
Cubase (5) but
not with Logic, isn't it a Emagic product after all?
I'v tried to
install it several times, in different revelant
directories and
subdirectories...Nothing.

I like working with Logic more than with Cubase, but
lots of
interesting VST plugins does not work at all with
Logic. And since they
all work fine with Cubase, there is no problem with
the plug-ins
themselves... How come is it so complicated? Now i'm
wondering if i
should not switch to Cubase and stop loosing time to
figure out all
this mess!!!

Any help appreciated !

Regards,

Phil

EVP73 was specifically made to make available the quality
sound of the EVP88 to work with other VST applications, other
than Logic, but not within Logic..

To work with Logic you need EVP88, it is made to work with
Logic only from what I have read.

As far as troubles with VST plug-ins, for the most part, I have had
good experience with all VST plugs working in Logic, only ones
that are made specifically for CUBASE(maybe they are
proprietary to CUBASE) have had problems with,
and from what I have seen, I haven't missed much.....

Maybe someone else can provide a good explanation why some
of these VST plugs aren't recognized by Logic.

Some Steinberg plugs (most of the ones that come 'with' a
programme) are tied exclusively to Steinberg software. This is
annoying, but if you think about it it's the same as in Logic. After
all, you cannot use Logic plugs in Cubase...
Unfortunately many of the plug-ins are programmed in a way to
report an error upon opening: "Sorry, this plug does not work with
this host".
There is no other way I know to disable loading the plugs during
the boot procedure than to take them out of the 'vstplugins' folder.

Maybe EMAGIC could think of a way to make the plugin enabler
work on vstplugins as well as direct x since I prefer to have ONE
central folder for vstplugs for all applications...
